Admission Notification of PTU SESSION 2013-2014

The Punjab Technical University popularly known as PTU has released its notification for the most awaited admission process for the session 2014-15. The notification is published on the 24-02-2014. The notification is for the following courses:-

The new initiative this year taken by the PTU is that it has given full rights to the affiliated colleges to conduct their admission process. from this year the PTU will not hold the counselling for the admission process. This step is taken by the PTU staff to counter the shortage of students joining the PTU courses. This step will enable the colleges to put up extra to get their seats fill well in advance rather than in previous years to wait for the University counselling to end up. This step by the University will also help the students to bypass the well established management quota system of the private colleges which empowers them to curb extra money for the assured seat.
DEMERITS
The system will be a real test for the PTU administration to keep an eye for the fair and free process by the colleges.
The students will now have to apply to each and every college of his interest separately.
The students will now have to keep an eye on each and every college admission process separately.
A mess kind of situation for the students.
Hugh ranked colleges of the state may get flooded application that can cause the college admission to        create a space for the so called DONATION process.

This process will make the low ranked colleges to work hard to get their seats filled. these low ranked colleges is already starving for the seats filling in the recent batches.

HOW SHOULD STUDENT NOW PROCEED TO THE ADMISSION IN PTU
from now onward the students have to keep an eye on the admission process of each and every college in the Punjab affiliated to the Punjab Technical University. Apply accordingly to those colleges as per their process.  we will notify here the whole admission process for each and every college associated with the University for this session of admission . meanwhile you can have a look on the list of all the colleges affiliated to the PTU and their sanctioned intake as on the date of notification.
The whole admission process will run for marks scored by the candidate in the JEE MAIN 2014 exam. So candidates are highly advised to focus on JEE MAIN exam to get a chance to get through to the high ranked college of the state. however the seats are in wholesale and you will  surely get a chance to get a course of your choice.
We at www.abhidevfinger.blogspot.com wishes you each a very good luck for the forthcoming examination season. all the best . DO YOUR BEST WITHOUT ANY TENSION ON MIND.

40% rule of PTU

The most important rule for the PTU students who have subjects as reappear is 40 % rule. This rule is like a magic wand for the students who have completed their course study(in years) but still unable to complete all the subject of the course.
what is this rule actually.
This rule is for the benefit of those students who has only 1 subject left to clear their degree. In this rule those students can fill the application form namely
"EXAMINATION FORM (REAPPEAR IN ONE SUBJECT) TO COMPLETE DEGREE"
this rule enables students to clear their last remaining subject through following satisfying condition:-
1. The subject which has to be cleared must have a minimum of 40 % marks when combining the the subject marks (internal + external) i.e if the internal awarded marks is 17 and the external required to get 40 % marks is 23 out of 100 total marks in theory examination . but in this case as student lack by 1 mark to pass the external subject as 24 is the requisite criteria. in this case the total o both makes 40 % so will be declared pass in the subject
2. The students when combining both internal and external marks in a particular session of exam out of 100 must be a minimum of 36 to apply for the 40% rule as this rule allows a maximum of 4 grace marks which to get to 40 % marks in a subject to get cleared.
3. If total is 37 marks 3 grace will be provided and so on to get 40 marks in total.
4. If the total of two itself makes to above such as 30 internal and 12 external then there will be no grace to be provided but still be able to clear the subject under 40% rule of the PTU to pass the degree
5. The rule is applicable only and only when only 1 subject is remaining and all others have been passed by the student.
6. The student must have completed his full time of regular study and their left with no regular exams to come in front.
7. The fee applicable to get clear the subject through this form is Rs 5000 only.
The University requires minimum of 15 working days to pass notification for the student to be declared clear in the 1 subject and will be then entitled for the award of the degree opted by him in his course. The students can through this clear his degree and apply to further study also. This is one of the most innovative rule opted by any University to help its students to pass the subject. This rule will be helpful for all the reappear students. This rule is applicable to all the courses being run by the University through its campus of any other college affiliated to the Punjab Technical University. The students are advised also to consult their college registrar and staff regarding the timing and schedule for filling up of this form for any session.
further clarification is highly appreciable. further support can be asked through the comments below.

WHY AICTE APPROVAL MUST FOR ENGINEERING COLLEGE IN INDIA

Engineering is a profession high in demand in the market all the time. engineers are one of the biggest professional community in India. Engineers are the backbone of a country in today's world. engineers are those graduates with science stream  who choose engineering as their career subject in colleges. engineering in India is provided by various Universities  through its various affiliated colleges. These universities need to be UGC (University grant commission) approved. we will discuss about this UGC in later posts.
Colleges impart technical knowledge to the budding engineers in India  through various courses like
1. bachelor of Engineering (B.E)
2. bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)
3 master of Engineering (M.E)
4. master of Technology (M.Tech)
these courses needs to get approved by the AICTE (All India Council Of Technical Education)for each college. This AICTE approval is a set standard in India to impart technical engineering education to students. This approval is renewed each subsequent year after the proper visit by the officials. The visit may include the checking of infrastructure , labs, proper equipment and other required matter as per their standard, after this the college is granted an AICTE approval to impart studies.
Students joining any engineering college should make their doubt clear about the college approval by AICTE as without this approval your degree may become useless as it will not been accepted by any employer, even not by any govt department.
AICTE is the sole authority for imparting approval to these technical course being run in any engineering college. AICTE approval is must for your degree as this makes your degree valid and the college in which you are studying is authorized and is up to mark to impart such education.
So before joining any engineering course in any college your first priority should be to check for the AICTE approval .
The students can check for various AICTE approved colleges list from the website of the AICTE for which the links are given at the end of the post. AICTE also approve management courses running in a college. AICTE approves each and every course that are running in a college that are referred to as a engineering course viz. Computer science and engineering course and Mechanical engineering course are two different courses in a college.
